🛠 How does Fabled Press Bindery work?

I’m an independent UK-based bookbinder and every product I sell is handmade in small batches. 🩵

When you preorder a rebind, you’re agreeing to:

  • Me purchasing a full-price copy of the book from an author-approved retailer
  • Rebinding/ Customizing it using my own materials and exclusive artwork.

Custom touches may include:

  • In-house printed faux-leather covers
  • In-house printed sprayed edges
  • Custom in-house printed endpapers

Each book is made with care and attention, and no two are ever exactly the same. I never ship a book I wouldn’t display proudly myself. ✨

📚 Where do you source your books?

All books used for my rebinds are purchased at full price and legally from official, author-approved bookstores or online retailers.

I don’t alter, reproduce, or redistribute the text in any way — I simply rebind books I’ve already bought under the First Sale Doctrine.

Every rebind still means a full-price sale for the author, always 🤍

 

🎨 Where does the artwork come from?

All artwork is commissioned from human artists and exclusively licensed for Fabled Press LTD use. Artists names are always mentioned in the product titles and linked on my Social Media.

There is no use of AI.

The artwork is created and exclusively licensed specifically for these editions and is not to be redistributed, copied, or recreated.


What happens if my book arrives damaged? 😫

One thing I want every single one of my customers to know, is that you are in safe hands investing in my rebinds. I would under NO circumstances leave you with a damaged copy whether it be delivery damage or a defective book. I have this policy as it is super rare when these instances occur, and as a book lover, it genuinely hurts me more than you to see them anything other than perfect.

I am so grateful to each and every customer who orders from my small business and assure you all that customer service is so important to me. 

My editions are completely hand made, so yes, on the extremely rare occasion things can go wrong; however, I hold myself to an incredibly high standard and never ship a rebind I wouldn’t proudly display myself. If you have any concerns or issues with your order please reach out to me and email me a photo to fabledpresscontact@gmail.com and I will issue you a replacement immediately.

Most importantly the please do not stress, either way we will amend the situation, or worst case, I will assess whether a full or partial refund upon return would be more appropriate 🩵

 

 

📦 Can I send in my own book for a discount?

Sometimes! Depending on how busy I am, I can occasionally accept customer-supplied books.
